Afram Plains South District Assembly
The Afram Plains South District Assembly, with its capital in Tease, was carved from Kwahu North and forms part of the new districts and municipalities created in the year 2012. These districts and municipalities were inaugurated at their various locations simultaneously on the 28th of June, 2012.
The President, HE JEA Mills, created 46 new districts through an Executive Instrument (EI). All the inaugurated and confirmed Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) are now operational, bringing the total number of MMDAs to 216.
