So I just got back from a show and, as you can see, I have a lot of makeup on. Y’all have been bugging me about my skin routine. So here it is, baby.
Step 1: Washing My Face
The first step is to wash my face and take off these lashes because you know I can’t see. Remember when I first got lashes or tried lashes? I was in high school, and that changed my life. Now I can’t go anywhere unless I’m wearing lashes.
But anyways, I wash my face with African black soap. And for all you people out there, African Black Soap isn’t actually black. It looks like a rock, so I cut a little piece off and then I use this to wash my face.
So I found out about African Black Soap from my mom, and I had a lot of acne when I was younger. So I got this and it cleared my face. It’s really good for exfoliating; I swear by it.
Step 2: Removing Leftover Makeup
So after I wash my face, I usually still have makeup left over, so I use my Estee Lauder cleansing balm. It feels like coconut oil, but it doesn’t smell like coconut oil. This process that I’m showing you guys right now is an extensive process.
And as much as I like to pretend that I do it every day, I probably do this three times a week because I have a really bad habit of falling asleep with my makeup on. During Fashion Week, I’m usually up by 5 or 6 am and then I go to sleep around midnight or one. So I don’t really have the energy to take my makeup off.
I’m gonna wash off, then rinse off the oil, and then we’re gonna get into the face mask. (water running)
Step 3: Applying the Face Mask
And now I get into the face mask, baby. We’re gonna talk about this face mask real quick. Since I travel a lot, my skin gets really, really dry. Outside of Fashion Week, I’m usually on a plane maybe two to three times a week. So this face mask helps a lot.
I use it mostly during Fashion Week, and I wear it during shows. This process that I go through with this mask is really strange, but it’s gonna make sense. So when I open this, there’s usually always some serum left inside. And you know I need to get my money’s worth, you know what I’m saying? So I take all the serum out and then I rub it on my face.
So this mask is called a power foil mask. The inner layer has the serum and stuff, and the outer layer is aluminum. So the aluminum should heat your face up. You gotta press it as close to your face as possible.
I have a really small face, so I usually have to cut my mask to fit my face because it ends up in my hairline or on my ears. So backstage at a show, people will see me with this mask on and think that I’m insane, but my skin looks poppin’. So you can’t even say anything. You can talk shit about me, but my skin looks poppin’.
So this is the weird part: to make this face mask work faster, I blow dry my face. (blow dryer running)
So now we’re gonna take this off, and my skin is gonna be looking brand new. So after I take this off, there’s always a lot of serum left, but I just rub it in and then I rub it into my neck. A lot of the older supermodels told me that you can see your age from your neck, so I always make sure that I don’t just moisturize my face but also my neck because, sis, you can’t get fillers in your neck. I don’t have fillers, but just know if you do, your neck is gonna look crazy!
Step 4: Using Advanced Night Repair
Alright, after I’m done with the mask, I take my Advanced Night Repair. If I could choose one product to use for the rest of my life, it would be this because it makes my skin smooth and it gets rid of wrinkles and deals with all the tension in my face. People pulling on my face and all the makeup just like fixes everything. You’re supposed to use five drops of this, but I don’t listen, so I just rub it all over my face and then I take my jade roller. Everyone, get you a roller. So I do this in the morning. You can do this at night if you want to. I think it’s better. I’m lazy sometimes, so I do it one time in the morning.
Step 5: Eye Care
So next is my Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Complex. I use this a lot because during Fashion Week, it’s a lot of eye looks, so people are always touching my eyes and pulling on them, and they get really dry and irritated. So I just use this, and it’s basically a lifesaver. So I put it on my bags and I put it on my eyelids and the corners.
So all my girls with short lashes or no lashes, I feel you, sis, because guess what? I don’t have lashes either. Listen, this is a secret. Y’all are lucky I’m showing this to y’all. I take Vaseline, right? And I put it on my eyelashes and then I put it on my eyebrows.
And it makes them grow. Even though y’all see, I don’t have eyebrows right now. You should have seen me five years ago. I had no eyebrows. So I take the Vaseline, I put it on my eyelashes. I mean, honestly, it might be just me, but I see results overnight when I put Vaseline on my eyelashes. It makes my eyelashes look longer and thicker.
Step 6: Hydration and Lip Care
So every night I try to chug a glass of water. You got to make the inside poppin’ if you want the outside to be poppin’. The next thing I do is put on my lip balm. It looks like lip gloss, but it’s not. Okay, so I do two layers. The first layer is this, and then the second layer is my good sis, Vaseline. And you put it on top, and then you’re gonna wake up the next morning with your lips feeling like clouds and cotton candy and pillows.
Thank you for watching. Have a good night. Hit me up with your skin routine.
